Are you in the middle of a life transition, or starting a new chapter in life?
Does it feel like things aren’t how they used to be, but your new path isn’t yet clear?
If yes, this can be a time of tremendous potential and insight, along with feeling lost, stuck, or overwhelmed.
It can be exciting, disorienting, painful, and freeing, and while it doesn’t always feel positive in the moment, when things get turned upside-down, you have a unique opportunity to shift the course of your life in a new direction, to create what you’re truly longing for within.
So, if you're moving through your own life transition and would like a little support, here are 5 key perspectives to help bring clarity to your next chapter of life…
1. You can’t predict the future, and that’s ok.
In the whirl of changing reality, it becomes clear that you don’t know exactly what comes next, and that you never really did.
While this can be unsettling, it’s an opportunity to let go of your mind’s desire to predict the future, and tap into your deeper place of intuition to uncover what’s important to you right now instead.
When the future feels fuzzy or unclear, it’s a prime time to pay attention to the present.
2. When old beliefs fall away, the truer self emerges.
Old structures of who you were or how you used to move through life begin to fall away, and when this happens, a new space of possibility opens.
What once worked for you may no longer feel right. What used to seem important is changing. And things that interested you before may not hold the same power.
At the same time, you may feel a craving for something new that you can’t quite put words to yet, but the pull for a new way of life feels strong.
This can feel sudden, or you may realize things have been steadily changing over time.
You can keep trying to make the old way work (though if you choose this, take an honest look and notice...how long have you already been trying at this point?)
Or, you can notice what’s real and true for you now, and begin letting your new life vision unfold from a place of even greater truth, passion, and purpose than before.
3. Let go of old dreams and make room for the new.
Without realizing it, we often build our lives on what we think we “should” do, or carry old dreams from the past into our futures, long past their expiration dates.
It clogs up the system and makes it hard for new possibilities to emerge that may be even better than our minds could have imagined.
Rather than taking your old rules and stories about life with you, what if you used this as an opportunity to shed the stuff that’s no longer working and lighten the load instead?
You’d be amazed at what wonderful new things can show up when you clear the space to let them in.
4. You’re not meant to do it alone.
One trap many of us fall into is trying to “do it alone,” but the reality is, no one really does anything in life all by themselves.
Just take a look around your home. How many of the objects did you make yourself? What food did you grow? What electricity or water did you funnel into your sockets and pipes? What education did you receive without the help of others? What car or bus did you build? What streets did you pave? (And on and on…)
We get help all the time, but when life starts changing underneath us, we don’t always put much thought into the actual help we want or need at that particular moment in life.
The good news is, there’s plenty of help available if you choose it! One thing to consider is…
What help do you want, and if you received it, what positive effect it would have on your life?
Sometimes all it takes is reaching out for support to kickstart a new path, and accepting that help when it arrives. Whether you reach out to friends, connect with your family, engage your community, read a book, work with a pro, or a combination of all of the above…there are possibilities all around.
5. Put your inspiration into action.
It’s easy to get lost in contemplation, but without action your insights and inspiration can fall flat.
You can spend years overthinking an idea or new dreams, and just as much time looping in confusion, doubt, or overwhelm.
Even if you don’t know the full map of where you want to go next, start considering what pieces you DO know, and begin taking action to put them into motion.
Perhaps you’re noticing what you want more of in your life, what you want less of, changes you’d like to make, things you’d like to learn, people you’d like to help, or experiences you’d like to explore.
Simply notice one small step you can take to put your inspiration into action, then do it!
You may be surprised to see how one small change begins building a foundation that grows exponentially over time, and completely transforms your life.

So if you’ve read this far, I wonder…
What insights did you receive, and what’s your next step?
Where are you now, and what will you do next?
